Travis Seward is an award winning, published modern quilt maker and pattern designer.
He received his BFA in fiber from The College of Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. He worked in the textile industry producing print and jacquard woven fabrics for the home and decorative accessories market. In 1999 he left textiles to pursue a publishing career focused on food, culture and travel. In 2011 he chose to focus is artistic exploration in the form of modern quilts. His modern quilting combines a love for the woven structure with color, rhythm and design found in the world around us. He is influenced by his childhood in small town Indiana and his love of cities, urban planning and architecture found the hidden gardens and green spaces of the concrete jungle.
